Our basic students are the ‘Indomitables ‘ They have been able to gain mastery of reading and with daily teaching and home assignment by our academically sound and experienced teachers. Students find school interesting and exciting. It is noteworthy that our Primary five students write the Primary School Six Leaving Certificate examination and come out in flying colours.
These children at each level are taught mental and social skills to cater for each class according to the relevant broad based curriculum. They are our “Mighty Mights” and at the stage of nursery 3, they are able to combine both nursery and part of Basic 1 work which helps them to be very ready for the Basic 1 activities. We have a target of ensuring that every child in Nursery 3 is able to read any word in English Language through the aid of phonics, a British systematic way of teaching how to read and write.
Children from 1 year 7 months are admitted into the pre nursery class. They are the “little Mights” and taught finger exercises to strengthen their fingers for learning how to hold their pencils. They are able to learn how to write 1 - 20, a - p phonic sounds at the end of 3rd term. Their curriculum also covers some rhymes and social norms.
Our cretch is specially designed for working class parents who need a safe, clean and quiet environment for their children when they are at work. We accept children from 3 months till they are set for their next phase of life, as playground, sleeping room, feeding room, bathroom, cots/beds, walkers, toys and rockers are readily available to make our pupils feel at home and happy. With our well experienced child-modern feeding and caring for our babies is quite satisfactory.
We offer day care to irregular parents who may have to drop their child for some hours to be able to attend to some urgent issues
After school services are rendered to parents who need somewhere their child can stay after school to receive assistance from highly our competent teachers to do their school’s assignment before going home for the day.
Children from age 1year 3months to 1 year 6 months are enrolled into this class to cater for their peculiar needs before they are admitted into the Pre- Nursery class. Here they can learn how to communicate with their teachers expressing themselves in English Language. They are at times allowed to join the pre -nursery class in learning how to sing Rhymes and play songs.
